Garnier has a new line out with three different serum/creams designed to be used in place of a serum, moisturizer and a SPF together. They are called Serum Creams and the one I chose to review here is called Garnier Green Labs Hyalu-Meelon Replumping Serum Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF30 . I like it because it is a serum, cream and a sunscreen. It replaces three products in one. How nice is that? Garnier Green Labs is a new line from Garnier that creates clean, effective skincare through the best of nature and science. Formulated without animal derived ingredients (meaning it is indeed vegan), parabens, mineral oils or dyes. And it has planet-friendly packaging from start to finish. Garnier products are officially certified by Cruelty Free International.

The Hyalu-Melon Replumping Serum SPF30 is 3 products in 1: a cream for hydration, a serum for potency and a sunscreen for broad spectrum SPF30 protection, all in one lightweight formula. This formula contains hyaluronic acid and watermelon that work together to improve dehydrated skin and fine lines for skin that is bouncier and smoother. Skin will look instantly smoother and more elastic in 3 days. Fine lines look reduced over time. This non-comedogenic moisturizer is suitable for all skin types and skin tones. It has a fast absorbing formula that provides 24-hour hydration while not leaving any white residue on the skin. This moisturizer is allergy-tested & dermatologist tested for safety; it is suitable for sensitive skin types. The broad spectrum SPF30 comes from the following chemical sunscreens: Avobenzone 3%, Homosalate 5%, Octisalate 5% and Octocrylene 7.2%. A high percentage of glycerin is in this cream and therefore it moistures the skin a great deal. There is also a good deal of sodium hyaluronate, which is a  humectant that attracts moisture to the skin and plumps it up, reducing the look of fine lines and helping the skin to look and feel "bouncier". The watermelon fruit extract in this product is an excellent antioxidant, is high in Vitamin C, naturally occurring carbohydrates, amino acids and helps the skin retain moisture, It promotes a rejuvenated look to the skin and helps skin that has photoaging. There is also a small percentage of salicylic acid in this product, just enough to cause the skin to exfoliate slightly. Just be aware of it and know that if you use this product you might notice some mild exfoliation but not enough to cause any purging.

To use: apply in the AM, all over the face and neck. This product makes an excellent base for makeup. Make sure to wait a couple of minutes until it has sunk in so that foundation doesn't go on too dewy or feel too greasy.

Out of the different Garnier Green Labs products I tried, this is by far the best of the three. This cream is lightweight and white but doesn't leave any whitecast on darker skin tones. It is made for any skin tone to wear, which is an excellent choice for Garnier. After one week of using this product Garnier claims that skin will look plumper, have moisture for 24-hours and you can decrease the risk of skin cancer if used as directed with other sun protection measures. It has been inspired by the juicy superfood watermelon and mixed with dermatologists favorite ingredient hyaluronic acid. I love the way it made my skin feel and how nicely it has plumped up the fine lines above my eyes. I have just a few, above my right eye actually, and they seem to look better. My skin does look less dehydrated. And yes, the product does seem to make my foundation look "dewy" and my skin look fresh and younger looking. I am not going to lie. This is the equivalent of a youth serum in a bottle. I swear it makes me look at least 5 years younger. I love having a product that replaces three products too. Saves me having to wear three in the first place, which can get pretty heavy at times and make my skin feel greasy, even as dry as it is. This is soooooo much better! Even with this I can still wear my Vitamin C serum under this and have my Hyalu-Melon Replumping Serum Cream SPF30 over it and it doesn't feel like I am wearing too much.

I would recommend this product for skin that is dehydrated with fine lines. Dry skin and normal skin could wear this product too. However, I would not recommend this product for combination and oily skins, even though it has been formulated for all skin types, it is heavy in moisture and might make oily skins feel a little too dewy. This is definitely something I would recommend for black women and all women of color. Garnier is specifically marketing this as not having any whitecast, If you have dry or dehydrated skin, this is an excellent product to try out.

Garnier Green Labs Hyalu-Melon Replumping Serum Cream Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF30 retails for $21.99 and can be purchased online through Amazon, Walgreens, Walmart, ULTA, CVS, Target and Kroger.
