A good eye cream is a very important part of a good skincare regimen. As we age the skin around our eyes starts to thin out due to a lack of collagen and elastin (the skin's building blocks). Even though this product contains peptides and collagen, the topical collagen can only penetrate the to the bottom layer of the epidermis. A collagen molecule is just too large. It will help to moisturize the skin and to decrease the look of fine lines and wrinkles but only temporarily. That is not to say that it is not useful, it definitely is. The peptides in it have been shown to decrease the look of fine lines and wrinkles more permanently, This product is more of a double-action product that works well when used in conjunction with the Advanced Peptide & Collagen Serum and Advanced Peptide & Collagen Moisturizer. Both of these DERMA E products have peptides and collagen to help temporarily and permanently reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles around the face and eyes.
