Today I want to review a cult status product that sells out practically every time it's on the website. Peach & Lily Glass Skin Refining Serum is a serum that assures poreless, luminous, tranluscent skin, which is only achieved when skin is well hydrated, without inflammation and free radical damage. The serum accomplishes this with a cocktail of peach extract, niacinamide, East Asian mountain yam, madecassoside, peptides and hyaluronic acid. Clear, crystal skin can be yours. And this does not mean shiny skin but skin that is poreless, beautiful, brightened and calmed. This serum helps to hydrate, calm, brighten and firm the skin. Its texture is clear, like glass and it is a very lightweight, hydrating gel that sinks into the skin immediately, leaving behind just radiant, dewy, "glassy" skin. The serum doesn't have any scent and is suitable for all skin types. This is not a joke, even acneic skin can use this.
Peach extract is a powerhouse chock full of vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids known to help keep skin firm, radiant and resilient. Niacinamide is a Peach & Lily favorite ingredient. It is a proven ingredient to help quell inflammation, provide anti-oxidative benefits and really helps to brighten the skin. East Asian mountain yam extract helps to create more supple skin and reduce flakiness for the ultimate glassy skin. Madecassoide is derived from Centella Asiatica extract, it helps to curb inflammation, soothe redness, and soothe the skin while stimulating collagen production. A hyaluronic acid complex is a proprietary blend of short-chain, medium-chain and long-chain hyaluronic acid molecules that helps to provide hydration at every level of the skin's upper layers; short-chain molecules sink into the deepest upper layers, while medium-chain molecules fill in the layers closer to the surface of the skin, and long-chain molecules lock in moisture on the skin's surface so that skin is plumped up from within while the outer layer becomes radiant. Peptide complex, a proprietary blend of peptides are included to signal collagen production. Which helps fill in the fine lines and deeply etched wrinkles, firms skin, for an overall smoother, "glassier" appearance.
The owner of Peach & Lily created this serum for her sister, who was pregnant and wanted something she could use on her skin that was completely safe but suitable for preganant skin. She asked her customers for feedback and they wanted something that did a lot legwork without a lot of time involved. Something that refines the texture of the skin and makes it super smooth and illuminated. That is what the glassy skin effect means. A product that would make skin look like glass. So she went back to Skincare 101. Being an Esthetician she looked through the latest developments in skincare. Glass skin is describing totally healthy skin that's really well balanced, well hydrated, well nourished, and fueled with active ingredients that bring about an inner glow.
The serum turned out to have to involve all forty chemists in her office and is the best product in her arsenal of products. It is a lightweight, refreshing, fast-absorbing clear gel that has a soothing, hydrating and plumping effect upon use. It contains essential vitamins, minerals and fatty acids, thanks to the peach extract and East Asian mountain yam. These deliver the right tools so that the skin becomes healthier. After one application, there's a noticeable inner beam from the deep hydration as skin thirst is quenched, thanks to a considerable complex of short, medium and long-chain hyaluronic acid molecules. On day one, some testers noticed reduced redness, others noticed less puffiness and even breakouts being curbed back because of the powerful ingredients that help with inflammation.
After a few days of use, some began to see a plumping effect from the deep hydration being packed in, soothed skin, and from a balanced nourishment being delivered to skin. They were excited because the results only compounded with this serum, and after a few weeks of use, the best stuff started to happen. Testers saw that skin texture became somehow more refined, more translucent and "glass-like", meaning that of a young child's before damage sets in. People said that they kept touching their skin to see if it were still soft and silky later on in the day (it was), and kept looking in the mirror to see if it was just a lighting trick (it wasn't). They knew they would call the serum "Glass Skin", but they added the "Refining Serum" part after all the results came in. The team added this part to the name as refining skin texture is something that's one of the hardest things to achieve, as this really comes from skin truly transforming from within. And they proudly heard people raving about the refining element of this formula, which is the finishing touch to getting that elusive glass skin that's now within reach.
This product has become a cult favorite among K-Beauty fans, earning a BEST OF K-BEAUTY AWARD. Whenever it is on the Peach & Lily website it sells out and I was lucky enough to grab it this time and test it out myself. I have been trying it out now and I definitely see the "glass skin" texture that has been forming on my skin after use. My skin was already soft and silky but this is beyond soft, my skin is baby bottom soft now and it has brightened to levels I have had yet to see. It is calm, with very little to no redness and feels amazing. I am putting this in permanent rotation in my skincare regimen, and will use it all the time now.
Here is my skin prior to using the Glass Skin Refining Serum:
I am wearing a minimal amount of foundation in this photograph but notice that the the skin is smoother, more even toned, with redness diminished, and skin has glowing look about it. This serum is truly one of those serums that I have put into my rotation as a game changer. It is hydrating and diminishes redness enough that I will keep using it.
I am very happy with the performance of the serum. I have found that it helps with redness and hydration. Immediately upon application it sinks into the skin, leaving it feeling soft and supple. Granted, the serum will only work upon the upper levels of the skin such as the stratum corneum and down to the epidermis. This is perfectly normal for skincare products and is to be expected. However, what it does do it does very well. It provides hydration and leaves skin looking and feeling better with continued use. Centella Asiatica (also known as Tiger Grass) is one of those great ingredients that really helps helps with redness and irritation. It is soothing and calms the skin. Add to that the combination of the Hyaluronic Acid complex and you have a real winner.
