Too Faced 3 Way Lash Lining Tool: Review

100_4025

When Too Faced Cosmetics came out with the new 3 Way Lash Lining Tool for Fall I was really excited. It looked so cool. I am a HUGE fan of liquid eyeliner. I have a lot of makeup and my liquid eyeliner stash is a large part of my collection. The 3 Way Lash Lining Tool is available from Too Faced for $22.00, which is a lot of money to pay for liquid eyeliner. If you are going to pay that much, you want to make sure it is worth every penny, right?

The claims of the 3 Way Lash Lining Tool are: Lash Emphasizing, Tight Lining and Eye Lining. First, for Lash Emphasizing you can dot between your upper lashes to create the look of a fuller lash line. Second, to tight line you draw a tight line along the water line (inside line along the lower lid). Finally the liner has a triple tip that allows you to draw a thin or thick coat of liner along the upper lashes to create the best “Eye Liner”.

I was so excited to try this! I never tight line, because one of my eyes is almost constantly watery, so I thought I would go with “Eye Liner” for the best way to try it out. I started at the inner corner of my eye and I wanted a thick line with with a little flick at the end. I found that it went on very smoothly and the ink flowed very well without skipping. To get the little flick at the end was also fairly easy, even with the triple tip. I have hooded eyes, so having a large “cat eye” look doesn’t really work for me, I like to have a tiny little flick. It was also easy to get a line close to my lashes, which is very important for liner of course. Over all I am very happy with this so far. I will try the Lash Emphasizing trick another time but really I just want a good liner that goes on smoothly and stays all day. Is it worth $22.00? Maybe not that much but if they are having a discount or free shipping take advantage it.

  1. Did you try it on your water line? I always use an UD 24/7 pencil on mine, but I wonder if I'm missing out. The MUA gurus always say to use gel or cake liner with a brush. That just seems so fussy and clumsy to me, but a felt-tip pen might work well.

  2. I usually cannot do the water line because my eye waters uncontrollably sometimes. It sucks. So I stick to using liner up top. This pen is supposedly wonderful for that. If you buy it and try it that way, let me know if it works.
