Fun look with Illamasqua’s Generation Q

DSC08299
Today I was in the mood to take some of the items from my stash and do a fun look with them, something that would stand out and is something I wouldn’t normally do. I recently got the bold lipgloss Boost from the Generation Q collection (vibant iridescent purple) and wanted to use it to wow myself! This look isn’t really about artistry but about color. I like to play with color and I want to bring out the green in my eyes, this does it. I have blue-green eyes and I know how to make these small eyes seem somewhat larger and make the green pop a little bit more. I hope you like the look.

I took Livid (matte purple eyeshadow) and used it in the crease. I then used Queen of The Night (matte burgundy) and Forgiveness (shimmery dark eggplant) too deepen the crease. Slink (shimmery light cream) was used on the lid and under the brow. I lightly blended out livid under the brow but I wanted it to look very sharp. To line the upper lids I used Precision Ink in Wisdom (blackened gold). On my cheeks I used Sophie blush (shimmery Apricot) with a fiber optic brush, that way it did not look too bright. And I used the gorgeous Boost Intense Lipgloss (iridescent purple) on my lips. Overall the effect is strong but not too strong for a woman my age. Illamsqua makes makeup that suits a woman of any age. And Generation Q is all about beauty of any age!
