By now you have probably seen the Konjac Cleansing Sponge, or versions of it around. Boscia was first to use the konjac root as a cleansing sponge and it is one of my favorite ways to cleanse my skin. Now boscia has come out with a new way to cleanse your skin. This new versatile cleansing tool is a Konjac Cleansing Cloth. The multi-purpose pillow-soft cleansing cloth is made from 100% Asian Konjac Root with 20% added Loofah for the deepest, closest cleaning you will get. This unique form of the Konjac Cleansing Sponge allows you to use your fingertips for a more controlled, customized cleanse.
What is great about the Konjac Cleansing Cloth is that it works for all skin types. This cloth aids in your cleansing routine. Made from 100% Asian Konjac Root that has been in use for over 1,500 years as a beauty staple in Asian cultures. The Konjac Root comes from the volcanic Jeju island in Korea and is known for its pristine, pure climate and land that has nutrient rich soil. It has the highest quality Konjac and thus provides Konjac root with the maximum skincare benefits. The root absorbs debris and impurities to promote a deeper, more thorough cleansing. This helps to give skin a long-term skin-smoothing and pore-minimizing benefit. The Loofah in the cloth provides added exfoliation to the skin for a deeper cleansing. It helps to remove buildup of oils and bacteria on the skin and it aids in circulation to promote skin health.
In the Japanese Cleaning Ritual, the Konjac Cleansing Cloth is a multi-purpose tool with long-term benefits. For makeup, mask and blackhead (comedone) removal: it thoroughly cleanses away makeup, buildup, impurities and debris. For facial cleansing and exfoliation: it is gentle enough for even the most sensitive of skin types and can be used all over the face, neck and even the delicate skin under the eye area. For use as a body scrub and use with body products: it provides a natural way to refine skin texture to reveal radiant, luminous skin. Use the Konjac Cleansing Cloth regularly to stimulate blood circulation and promote healthy skin cell removal so that brighter, smoother, younger-looking skin is revealed for the long-term.
To use: Soak it in warm water before each use to allow it to fully expand. Gently massage the cloth in circular motion on the face. Rinse thoroughly with water and cleanser if needed. After each use, lay flat or hang to dry in a well ventilated area. Repeat morning and night for best results. Replace the cloth ever 2-3 months. Cloth will shrink in size when dry.
How does this compare to the Konjac Cleansing Sponge? It is very similar in nature to the sponge. I like that the cloth is thinner and is basically used as an exfoliant without any cleanser. It is its own part of the cleansing ritual. I prefer to not sully it with makeup, rather use it after makeup removal. I like to use a cleansing oil, cleanser then the cloth. The sponge itself is so similar and can be used in much the same way but does not exfoliate as well. The addition of the Loofah in the cloth give the added edge of allowing the Konjac Cleansing Cloth to have a greater amount of exfoliation, which is great. I think that using both the cleansing sponge and cloth in the same cleansing ritual is perfectly okay, as I use the cleansing sponge with my cleanser. I then use the cloth afterwards for the added exfoliation benefits. Here you can see my review on the Konjac Cleansing Sponge (http://bit.ly/1hyaZtt), with all of its cleansing benefits.
The Konjac Cleansing Cloth retails for $15.00 and can be purchased from www.boscia.com, www.sephora.com and SEPHORA stores.
