Review: [re] Fresh Fruit Acid Peel #fruitacidpeel
I am a huge fan of Alpha Hydroxy Acids for use in anti-aging skincare. They do a great job of making the skin look and feel years younger. But, they need to be used the right way. [re]fresh Fruit Acid Peel is a great product that does a good job of helping to make skin look and feel years younger! It is an excellent exfoliant. The peel contains 15% glycolic acid with a touch of kojic acid for brightening. It also contains Lactic, and Pyruvic acids, to create an effective, professional-grade peel. This peel effectively removes the outer layers of thickened or damaged skin to improved its texture and tone, thus revealing noticeably smoother, healthier skin.
The kojic acid brightens skin, reducing dark spots, age spots and inhibits melanin production. It has a natural anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory effect from the kojic acid to prevent acne and rosacea flare-ups. It reduces fine lines and wrinkles and other signs of aging. The peel lessens the appearance of hyperpigmentation, acne scars and melasma. It is alcohol free, paraben-free and has no added added artificial colors, fragrance, or preservatives. It is also vegan friendly. All the ingredients are botanically derived and this was never tested on animals. It was also made in the USA.
I found this peel to this peel to be very good at its job. I would not recommend using it if you are on retinol. Stop using the retinol or Tretinoin for a few days prior to use of this peel. Those products increase sensitivity or could cause this product to be much stronger. My skin can stand up to strong peels, and I still had some good peeling from this on my neck and forehead. It definitely works and peels the skin, but afterwards skin looks and feels soft, less pigmented and much younger.
It sells on Amazon.com for $29.95: http://amzn.to/1ccPjnt. This is a great product and if you desire to do peels at home I think it would be a good choice for you.
