The L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Collection is centered on the Immortelle Divine flower, which grows on the island of Corsica. This flower is eternal. It never wilts or fades. When distilled, the essential oil from the flower is coveted for its anti-aging properties. Since 2001, L’Occitane has been bringing you products with the essential oil of the Immortelle flower in its best selling Divine collection. I had the chance to try out the Immortelle Divine Cream Mask. Oh my. How extravagant this mask is! This fall, L’Occitane introduces this mask, with its melting cream texture and its luxurious 24 karat gold plated massage applicator. When the mask is used in tandem with the applicator, it is better absorbed into the skin for firmer, smoother skin and more luminous results. The key ingredients in this mask are the Immortelle essential oil, which has outstanding anti-aging benefits. It increases skin’s uniformity, nutrition, elasticity, luminosity and firmness. Shea butter soothes skin, leaving it feeling well-rested and comfortable. Cistus is formulated with a high concentration of aromatic molecules, it has unique relaxing properties that work to soothe and reduce feelings of tightness in the skin.
How do you use this unique mask? It has special steps that you should follow to get the best results. Use this mask 2x a week for best results.
Step 1: After cleansing skin, gently massage bare, clean skin with the smooth side of the applicator. Hit key reflex points. This helps to relax muscles of the face, making skin more receptive for application.
Step 2: Using the spatula, scoop a dollop of the mask from the jar. With free hands, apply a thick layer onto skin starting from the center of the face, moving outward. Avoid the eye area. Rinse and dry hands.
Step 3: Using the textured side of the applicator, move in circular motions all over the face to assist in boosting skin’s microcirculation.
Step 4: Remove any excess mask with a clean tissue or leave it on for further absorption.
How does the mask perform? Quite well. It is definitely a mask for drier skins, not for oilier or acneic skins. I think this is something to save for anti-aging regimens. I loved the way my skin felt after I used it. I left the rest of the mask on overnight and let it absorb into my skin and woke up with the softest skin I had ever felt in my life. Definitely a great mask. I love this and feel it is something that you want to definitely try to do a couple of times a week if you can. It makes skin feel like baby soft skin. I like that my skin does not break out from it either, which it has a tendency to do from time to time. It helps restore elasticity to skin and to restore firmness. Skin is left feeling and looking better than prior to the mask.
