1.7 oz./48g $19.50
Do you have the spring and summer oiliness that pops up this time of year? A lot of people find that their skin changes in the spring and summer and it produces more sebum (oil) than usual and that sebum might cause more blackheads (comedones) to develop, more whiteheads (milia) or more acne in general. If this is the case, one thing you can do is to help purify your skin with an activated charcoal mask that helps to take the dead skin cells away with the extra sebum to purify the skin and reduce the sebum output and get rid of the dead skin cells. It also helps get rid of any pollution and helps to promote extra oxygen in the skin by detoxifying it and bringing blood to the surface.
The Derma E Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask deeply detoxifies the skin of harmful micropollutants in two ways. First, natural clays infused with Kimarine® Wakame, Bladerwrack and Activated Charcoal lift out dirt, oil and bacteria to decongest pores as the mask dries. Second, Apricot Seed Powder exfoliates away dead skin cells and captured debris upon removal. Kaolin and Bentonite Clays absorb excess oils and impurities, relieving skin congestion (blackheads and whiteheads, really any acne lesions). Kimarine® Wakame is a potassium-rich, magnesium-rich seaweed that has been clinically proven to protect skin against environmental pollutants (exhaust fumes, cigarette smoke, heavy metals). Bladderwrack is an antioxidant-rich, mineral-rich seaweed known for its water-binding properties, thus supporting healthy skin hydration and nourishment. Activated Charcoal, known for absorbing 100 to 200 times its weight in impurities, purges pores of deeply rooted toxins. When the mask is removed, Apricot Seed Powder gently exfoliates away micropollutants and dead skin cells. This mask is ideal for oily, active or urban skin types, and is even safe for reactive/sensitive skin (it has minimal ingredients and has been allergy-tested). Use this mask once or twice a week for skin that looks dramatically fresher, healthier and purely glowing.
To use: apply generously to clean facial skin, avoiding eye and lip area. Leave on for 5 minutes or until mask is completely dry (it will turn white when dry). Moisten fingertips, then massage mask gently in a circular motion to activate exfoliants. Concentrate on areas of congestion such as nose, chin and forehead. Rinse thoroughly, or remove with a damp cloth. Pat dry. Use 1-2 times a week.
Here is a photo of myself using the mask:
I love this mask because it really helps to keep the oiliness and dead skin at bay, while helping to get rid of the extra pollution in the skin too. I like that not only does it exfoliate but it also helps to decongest the skin. So it gets rid of blackheads, whiteheads and helps to get rid of other acne lesions that one might have. This mask is very strong and is not really recommended for dry skin so much. I would recommend it for normal, combination and oily skin especially and acneic skins. I would not recommend it for mature skin either.
