This will be the first time I am featuring Hawaiian Tropic sunscreens on my blog. I happen to love Hawaiian Tropic too. Especially the scent of their products. In this review I am covering two products under once auspice. They are essentially the exact same products with just different SPF levels.

The new Hawaiian Tropic®Antioxidant Plus product line from Hawaiian Tropic is formulated with green tea extract to form an antioxidant layer on the top of the skin. This new antioxidant sunscreen helps to prevent long-tern skin damage and premature aging from the sun (photoaging) and also features the signature Hawaiian Tropic scent. The formula is infused with mango, guava, papaya and passion fruit. It provides indulgent protection that instantly transports you to the tropics. Not only does it do this but it has a lightweight texture. The lotion leaves skin feeling refreshed and pampered, never greasy. It is recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation. The product line contains broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection sunscreen skin protection and is water resistant up to 80 minutes.

The AntiOxidant+ Sunscreen Lotion with SPF30 contains the following:
  • Avobenzone 3%
  • Homosalate 6%
  • Octisalate 4.5%
  • Octocrylene 4.5%
The AntiOxidant + Sunscreen Lotion with SPF50 contains the following:
  • Avobenzone 3%
  • Homosalate 9%
  • Octisalate 4%
  • Octicrylene 5%
Those are the only differences between the two products. Each contains green tea, as mentioned above, which forms an antioxidant layer on the skin to help prevent free radicals from oxidizing on the skin and causing photodamage or premature aging of the skin. This is a nice thing for a sunscreen to have as the sun's rays essentially lobs free radicals around at your skin like tennis balls at the US Open. The lotion is extremely lightweight in texture and just sinks into the skin. It is a chemical sunscreen though, so if you are allergic to these chemicals you will need to look for another product, such as a mineral sunscreen.

Directions For Use: Apply liberally to skin 15 minutes before usn exposure. Reapply after 80 minutes of swimming or perspiring. Also reapply every 2 hours. Regularly using a sunscreen decreases the risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this this risk, use at least a SPF of 30 or higher every day. Limit time in the sun, especially between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Also wear long sleeved shirts, long pants, hats and sunglasses.

This product can be used on the face and body. It is so lightweight that upon application it just immediately sinks into the skin, leaving only the wonderful fragrance. I love how it makes my skin feel hydrated and protected at the same time. I prefer to use the SPF50, as I am very fair.

Hawaiian Tropic AntiOxidant+ Sunscreen Lotion SPF30/SPF50 retails for $10.99 and can be found at major mass retail locations. Like Hawaiian Tropic on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/hawaiiantropic and Follow Hawaiian Tropic on Instagram: http://instagram.com/hawaiiantropic.
