Another great MyChelle sunscreen product is their Sun Shield Liquid SPF50 Broad Spectrum Non-Tinted Sunscreen. This product is also reef safe, an oil-free formula with a 100% mineral based broad-spectrum protection from the sun. It contains 20.5% zinc oxide to make the SPF50. This is primarily for the face and comes in a small 1 fl.oz/30mL bottle. It is non-tinted, and has maximum UVA/UVB broad spectrum protection. Since it is a mineral sunscreen, those who are allergic to chemical sunscreens can wear this with ease without feeling as if they are going to have any problems. What is so great about mineral sunscreens is that they reflect the sun's ray off of the skin, instead of absorbing them into the skin. This wonderful silky, colorless formula blends weightlessly and seamlessly into the skin as soon as it is applied. Wear alone or use as a sheer primer under your foundation to create a smooth, matte finish. Since this is oil-free it is recommended for all skin types. This product has been made without GMO's, Gluten, Parabens, Petroleum, Phthalates, Sulfates, Ureas, artificial fragrances, and artificial colors. It is also Vegan and Cruelty-free.
To Use: Shake well before use. For daily use, apply to clean, dry skin and allow to absorb completely before applying make-up. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply after swimming or sweating and at least every 2 hours. Best use is on face and then on the body such as neck area and décollatage. This product is for external use only. Do not use on damaged or broken skin. For use on children 6 months and older. Spending any time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and photoaging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a broad spectrum SPF of 30 or higher and other sun protection measures including:
- Limit your time in the sun, especially during its strongest time; from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Wear long-sleeve shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses.
I really, really like this product. It is an excellent sunscreen. Not only that but it is very lightweight and provides SPF50 protection (which is extremely high) while being oil-free and non-comedogenic. I found this product to be surprisingly light considering how much zinc oxide is in it. Normally when I encounter a sunscreen with this much zinc oxide, I think it's going to go on like, well, diaper rash cream. It is the perfect sunscreen to use on the face and for summer. I like to use this under my makeup every day and instead of a primer or moisturizer. Or I mix in a highlighting primer in with it to add a little bit of glow to my skin under my makeup. MyChelle only makes completely natural products and this is no exception, as they are a leader in natural skincare and suncare products. I also like this product because it sinks into the skin immediately after applied. Without leaving any white residue or greasiness.
