For about 2 years now, highlighting and contouring has made its comeback into the current makeup trends without signs of fading away. I am completely fine with this, because I love highlighting, or strobing as it is often called. Highlighting the face brings a lovely glow to the skin (if used correctly) that one cannot get from skincare. That is to say, do not go overboard with the highlighting powder. I would like to discuss one of my favorite highlighters, which is inexpensive and looks fabulous on every complexion.
Maybelline Master Chrome by FaceSTUDIO Metallic Highlighter is a wonderful product. It has to be one of my favorite highlighters because it goes on lightly, gives skin a nice, super metallic glimmer to the skin and looks great on any complexion whether it is fair, light, medium or dark. This product effortlessly gives skin a molten metal luminosity that drenches skin in a metallic finish. Maybelline's pearl pigments leave a reflective finish for a brilliant, glowing complexion. Use on cheeks, forehead, nose, chin, shoulders, cleavage or anywhere on your body that you would love to have a beautiful metallic sheen. To use, apply with a highlighter brush, such as a fan brush or a duo fiber brush, or your fingertips. Sweep onto targeted area, like the cheekbones, brow bone, and down the bridge of the nose. Blend for a seamless metallic incandescence. It comes in 4 permanent shades and various limited-edition shades that come out with seasonal collections. The permanent shades are: Molten Gold, Molten Rose Gold, Molten Peach and Molten Topaz.

This highlighter is exceptionally beautiful on the skin. It goes on lightly and you can build the coverage. Some highlighters are way too heavy and immediately upon application you have to remove some of it right away, not with this product though. Another thing that is nice is that Maybelline will bring out limited-edition shades of this highlighter that are very beautiful and make wonderful shades to play with and add to your highlighter collection. It goes on very smoothly and is buttery, can be applied with a brush or your fingertips. I personally find that with a brush it gives you better coverage. If you apply it with your fingertips you will get heavier coverage.
Maybelline Master Chrome by FaceSTUDIO Metallic Highlighter retails for $9.99 and can be purchased at mass market retailers such as Walgreens, Rite-Aid, CVS, Target and WalMart, at Ulta stores and www.ulta.com.
