I love lipstick and lip gloss. It is just something that I cannot help. I love them just as much as I do eyeshadow. Throughout the day I can change my lipstick if it's not working out, my lips get messed up, or become chapped. I have probably a thousand lipsticks and glosses? That's how much I love lipsticks and lip glosses. Well I do love makeup... In this review I'd like to discuss a lipstick that is like a cross between a lipstick and a lip gloss.
This product is called Color Sensational Shine Compulsion Lipstick by Maybelline. It is their most brilliant lip color yet, with loads of hydration, vibrant color and an ultra-shiny finish. With this lipstick you can bring on brilliant shine that melts onto your lips. From nude to bright red lipstick and every shade in between, get beautifully hydrated and pigmented lips with Maybelline's newest most irresistible shine. To use, apply in the center of the lips and work outwards, following the contours of the mouth. Then glide the lipstick across the entire bottom lip. Be sure to apply lip liner first so that you do not have bleeding from the lip line. Shine Compulsion Lipstick comes in 10 saturated shades. They are: Berry Blackmail, Baddest Beige, Chocolate Lust, Magenta Affair, Pink Fetish, Scarlet Flame, Spicy Mauve, Spicy Sangria, Taupe Seduction and Undressed Pink. I tried out Scarlet Flame, Spicy Mauve and Taupe Seduction.

I find this lipstick to be incredibly hydrating and so, so shiny. It is definitely a different mouth feel than what I am used to using. This product is similar to a lipstick and is like a lip gloss but is somewhere in between. It is not an incredibly pigmented item though. I do like this lipstick. There is enough pigment in it that I can get a good amount of color after two swipes on my lips. And funnily enough, for something so glossy it actually lasts a long time. I think with regular wear it lasted about four hours. That's pretty good for a glossy lipstick.
