Yardley has reinvented itself in recent years. It is not the same company my grandmother used to use and know. However, I do have fond memories of using Yardley of London soap and bath products when I was little at my grandmother's house. That is what makes me trust these products so much. They have a great history of good ingredients, well made products and a long line of great products that have stood the test of time.

This product is great for times when you need some extra cleansing, like spring and summer when skin is dirtier, oilier or you just feel a little hot and not so fresh. The activated charcoal in the cleansing bar helps to break down dirt, oils and anything that doesn't belong and gets rid of it. It is perfect for those that suffer from bacne because it helps clear out the hair follicles.

The activated charcoal makes the cleansing bar smell like a freshly scented bar that lathers up beautifully and leaves the skin feeling squeaky clean. Skin doesn't feel too dry or tight afterwards and you will definitely notice a difference after about a week of using this bar. I find the scent very uplifting and affects my mood in a positive way. The bar leaves skin feeling silky smooth and hydrated without the dryness one would expect from activated charcoal. It is definitely moisturizing.
