GLOW RECIPE is a Korean skincare company that has all of their skincare based around fruits. I have tried a few of their products and love everything I have tried from their product line. Today's review is of their Avocado Melt Sleeping Mask. Sleeping Masks have become very popular in the US now that Korean skincare has swept over our country. And I am very glad too.
A sleeping mask is essentially a souped up version of a moisturizer with more actives and more ingredients that are wonderful for the skin, treating it better than just a regular moisturizer would. Avocado Melt Sleeping Mask is a creamy yet breathable sleeping mask that nourishes and softens dry, tired skin overnight. It's a quick fix to eliminating dry flakes and dull skin. This is a must-have for glowing skin. Try it once and you'll want to use it all the time, trust me. This mask is great for dry skin, mature skin, sensitive skin and normal skin.
The ingredients in this mask are very good at helping with anti-aging. 74% of the creamy formula is made from four forms of avocado: avocado fruit, avocado extract, avocado oil and avocado butter. They pack in as much of this magical fruit as possible because it's rich is oleic and linoleic acids, so it's deeply nourishing. It also contains Manuka Honey, which has the enzyme Methylglyoxal (MGO). This enzyme has higher levels of antibacterial properties than other types of honey. MGO helps defend your skin against environmental stressors that can cause premature aging and it visibly firms and moisturizes the skin. PHA, a poly hydroxy acid, is a gentle chemical exfoliant that helps buff away dead skin cells to reveal your glowiest skin ever. Because of its larger molecular structure, it's very gentle and safe for even the most sensitive skin type. They add just a pinch of Kaolin clay to help balance skin and make pores happier. This mask is free of parabens, mineral oil, sulfates, silicones, phthalates, alcohol, synthetic dye, synthetic fragrance and is cruelty-free.
The mask can be used two ways, as a wash off mask or as an overnight mask. To use as a rejuvenating sleeping mask, use the spatula to scoop about a dime-sized amount onto the skin as the final step of the evening routine. Gently pat onto the skin for optimal absorption. Wash thoroughly in the morning. Use daily if desired. To use as a wash off mask, use the spatula to scoop the mask and gently spread a thick layer across your cleansed face from forehead to chin (avoiding direct contact with eye and lip areas). Rinse with lukewarm water after 10 minutes. Use two to three times a week. For sensitive skin types start by using 2-3 times a week and use more frequently if your skin loves the formula. This can be used with the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask, use the Watermelon Glow on the T-Zone, since it is for oilier skins. And use this on the rest of the face.
I love the way this makes my skin feel. In the morning my skin feels very soft, firm and hydrated. Definitely, more moisturized than with other sleeping masks I have used. This one is by far my favorite sleeping mask. I love GLOW RECIPE'S products and feel that they have some of the best products I have seen from Korea.
