As we age, skin starts to show signs of slowing cell renewal. That is when skin starts to look dull and tired. It also starts to show all of the accumulated sun damage that you have, coming out as hyperpigmentation (freckles, moles and sun spots). What I like to do about this is actually use products to speed up collagen production, which speeds up cell renewal. Then skin starts to look brighter, smoother and not as dull. They also help to get rid of hyperpigmentation which makes skin look like glass. Who wouldn't want that?

One product I have found which is extremely good at doing this is GLOW RECIPE'S Pineapple + C BRIGHT SERUM. Glowing, glass like skin starts with a bright, smooth translucent complexion so reflective, skin appears like glass. This bouncy, lightweight serum has three potent forms of antioxidant rich Vitamin C, including 22% Pineapple Juice (one of the most powerful forms of natural Vitamin C), pure Ascorbic Acid and stable 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid to help combat acne scars, hyperpigmentation and dark spots. Thus leaving the skin glossy and even. The natural Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) and Bromelain Enzymes from the Pineapple Juice gently exfoliate while the built-in skin soothers (Chamomile and Aloe) ensure that skin stays calm, happy and refreshed.

Pineapple is a potent source of natural Vitamin C, AHAs and bromelain enzymes that help brighten, smooth and hydrate the skin. It visibly fades dark spots, acne scars and hyperpigmentation for skin that is noticeably smoother and clearer. Ascorbic acid is one of the more notable and potent forms of Vitamin C, it also helps to brighten skin and even out its tone while also helping to visibly reduce the premature signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles. The other Vitamin C compound, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, is another derivative that is made up of 75% ascorbic acid and 24% ethyl group. The ethyl group is a small carbon unit that stabilizes the ascorbic acid (which oxidizes quickly), keeping it as pure as possible. It further helps to brighten and even skin tone while acing as a powerful antioxidant giving you the most beautiful, glowing skin ever. I am sure you have heard of hyaluronic acid. It is the molecule that holds 1,000 times its own weight in water and helps skin to maintain long-lasting moisture. It hydrates and plumps skin by attracting water to the skin, making it a humectant. It is the one way ticket to dewy, refreshed skin that looks smoother and rejuvenated. Vitamin E is an antioxidant-rich powerhouse that helps to deeply hydrate and visibly protect skin, making this serum powerful and super nourishing.

This product is good for the following skin types: normal, dry, oily, combination and sensitive skin types. Yes, it is even good for sensitive skins. It treats general anti-aging concerns such as dark spots, dullness and fine lines and wrinkles. It's free of parabens, mineral oil, sulfates, phthalates, alcohol and synthetic dyes. This product is also vegan and cruelty-free.

I have been using this serum for a couple of months now. Granted I have been in the process of using brightening products for months now, so I am a little biased towards brightening products and as to how well they work, but damn this product is the best of them all. Because it contains AHAs, enzymes and Vitamin C, it is a triple threat. Not only does it smooth out the skin but it brightens it too, taking dull, uneven skin tone and making it brighter, smoother and downright gorgeous. This is one of those products that you say, "Should I try this? It is yet another brightening product." YES, YOU SHOULD! I am not sure if you have heard about GLOW RECIPE before, but their products are not just any products. A Korean based skincare company, they use natural fruit, fruit juices and fruit acids in their products; plus they are clean products, using only good, clean ingredients that are great for the skin. The serum is light and fruity scented, smelling just like pineapples. It absorbs almost instantly into skin and does not leave any sticky feeling on the skin.

To use: apply a few drops onto clean skin and gently pat into the skin for optimal absorption. Apply daily, morning and night, and follow with moisturizer. During the day, always follow with a SPF30 broad spectrum sunscreen. For sensitive skin types, use 3-4 times a week and gradually increase usage. For maximum potency, store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. Tightly close cap after usage.
