If you have chapped, chafed, cracked or extremely dry skin, I have something that will help you immensely. This kind of skin need special care. CeraVe makes a special healing ointment that is terrific for this kind of skincare. It helps hydrate and soothe the skin and also offers fast relief. This ointment has been formulated with occlusive petrolatum, hydrating hyaluronic acid and ceramides to provide extra hydration and to replenish the skin's barrier while helping to temporarily protect and relieve skin that is unable to heal itself. It is very important to look for a non-irritating balm or ointment when treating compromised skin. CeraVe Healing Ointment is free of ingredients like lanolin, fragrance and preservatives.

CeraVe Healing Ointment is formulated to temporarily protect, soothe and hydrate the skin as it recovers from cracking, chafing, chapping and extreme dryness or injuries such as burns, scrapes and cuts. The lightweight yet intensely hydrating formula features three essential ceramides as well as hyaluronic acid in a moisturizing petrolatum base. This ointment is also non-comedogenic so it’s suitable for all skin types, and free of fragrance, preservatives, dyes and lanolin to minimize the risk of irritation, and it can be used as lip care, too. It was developed with dermatologists and is accepted by the National Eczema Association.

I tried this out on my cracked feet and it did heal them quite quickly. I was not surprised because I know how well the ingredients can heal cracked skin that easily. The ointment is applied at night and then I let it sink in as much as possible until I can wear socks. In the morning my feet are much softer and the cracked skin has decreased. Then after about a week my cracks had completely disappeared.

Update 9/30/20: I have been using this as an occlusive to help heal my lips after they burned a little too much with Retin-A. I actually use this to prevent my lips from getting burned by the Retin-A in the first place too. This ointment is one of the best healing ointments available, beating even Aquaphor for use on the facial skin. It is especially good for healing irritated skin, such as leftover acne scarring, as an occlusive (sealant) to protect the skin for eczema and atopic dermatitis and other skin irritations. It will not cause any acne as it is non-comedogenic, meaning that it doesn't cause blackheads or acne lesions of any kind. With winter coming up I wanted to make sure that you are aware of this healing ointment and its many uses. Women of color will especially find it useful on their skin as opposed to heavy shea butter or coconut oil. They hyaluronic acid in it hydrates the skin and the petroleum jelly in it seals in the moisture.

CeraVe Healing Ointment retails for $17.18 online at www.amazon.com and can be purchased online at www.amazon.com and in mass market retailers such as Walgreens, Rite-Aid, CVS, Target and ULTA. Like CeraVe on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/CeraVe; Follow CeraVe on Twitter: @cerave; Follow CeraVe on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cerave/ and Subscribe to CeraVe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/CeraVeSkin.

Until Next Time~
