As our skin gets older, collagen and elastin (the building blocks of the skin) break down and our skin forms fine lines and eventually wrinkles. We also earn sun damage from time outdoors and a loss of elasticity due to elastin breakdown. So what is needed is a skincare regimen tied to helping prevent the breakdown of collagen to help reduce the occurence of fine lines, wrinkles, loss of firmness and uneven skin tone. One thing that helps is alpha hydroxy acids such as glycolic acid. Another is Vitamin A.

DERMA E Anti-Wrinkle Skin Cleanser is the start of such a regimen. Using this helps to eliminate dead skin cells that have accrued on the top surface of the skin and thus cause it to look dull and lackluster. This gentle exfoliating, sulfate-free formula washes away dirt, oil, makeup and impurities, leaving skin feeling smooth and youthful looking. It contains skin-renewing Vitamin A, which helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and rough skin texture for a fresher, newer appearance. Gently exfoliating Glycolic Acid and Papaya Fruit Extract help to deeply cleanse and smooth skin for a fresh, youthful complexion. Glycolic Acid also helps to reveal a brighter skin tone. And Papaya Fruit Extract is rich in antioxidants to help exfoliate, brighten and smooth the skin.

I would recommend this for mature skin, combination skin, dry skin, oily skin and even acneic skin but not for sensitive skin. This is the kind of cleanser that sensitive skin might find too much for their skin to handle. The cleanser itself it a gel cleanser and I would also avoid the eye area. It is a foaming cleanser that removes dirt, oil and makeup efficiently. By exfoliating the skin it helps the skin look brighter and also helps it to take in skincare more easily. Skincare cannot absorb into the skin if there is a lot of buildup of dead skin on the epidermis. The skin normally renews itself every 28-30 days, but this slows down as we age. Exfoliation is very important for skincare to be able to reach the inner layers of the epidermis to the dermis. With help, this cleanser can do that.

DERMA E Anti-Wrinkle Skin Cleanser retails for $13.75 and can be found online at www.dermae.com and exclusively at www.ulta.com and ULTA Stores. Like Derma E on Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/dermaenaturalskincare; Follow Derma E on Twitter: @derma_e; Subscribe to Derma E on YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/user/DermaEBodycare; Follow Derma E on Instagram:http://instagram.com/dermae# and Follow Derma E on Pinterest:http://www.pinterest.com/dermae/.
