gallinée is a skincare line from France that is probiotic skincare, meaning it has good bacteria for the skin's microbiome in it. Our skin has its own bacteria layer on it that keeps out the bad bacteria and keeps everything in check. By providing out skin with good bacteria (such as eating yogurt and using probiotic skincare, we can help keep our skin looking younger and help keep inflammation down, irritation and help with sensitivity. I tried a couple of products from the line and I wanted to give you my opinion on them.

The first product I tried was the gallinée Foaming Facial Cleanser. I know I just reviewed a foaming facial cleanser that I was very happy with but this one is also very good. It cleanses the skin, softens it and brightens it. Perfect for all skin types especially the most sensitive ones. Because it contains probiotics, it will not strip the skin's microbiome barrier nor does it strip the natural moisture barrier of the skin. It also contains a little bit of lactic acid, a gentle AHA that helps exfoliate dead skin cells. This is what brightens the skin. The formula is very gentle and I would definitely recommend it for sensitive skin types. The formula is free of detergents (soap) and produces an incredible fine and creamy foam for an indulgent experience. It cleanses dirt, debris, makeup and pollution from the skin. The formula contains 98% natural ingredients, which is especially good for those who are concerned about what they are putting on their skin. It has a pH of 5, which is close to the skin's own pH level and leaves skin incredibly soft, plump and fresh feeling. It has been one of the rare cleansers tested on skin prone to eczema and does very well with it. And it smells amazing.

The key ingredients in this cleanser are the following:
  • prebiotics: a mix of ultra-gentle fibers and sugars that feed your skin's good bacteria and help support the skin's bacteria with an antibacterial action against bad bacteria.
  • lactic acid: the most gentle of all the AHAs, lactic acid comes from milk and helps the skin to stay at its optimal pH level. It has hydrating and softening properties. gallinée uses a slow-release form to suit even sensitive skin.
To Use: Massage cleanser gently onto wet skin, taking particular care around your eyes. Rinse and pat your skin dry. Skin will be visibly smoother, brighter and fresher, with a clearer complexion.

I found this cleanser to be gentle, effective at removing makeup, dirt, pollution and debris. It is very good for skin that is sensitive and will be good for anyone who is looking for a light foaming cleanser that works well yet doesn't strip the skin's own moisture barrier or natural microbiome. It works quite effectively at cleansing with only a small couple of pumps to cleanse the skin. The lactic acid helps to remove dead skin cells and provide a very light exfoliation.
