For the longest time I have done my eyes a certain way but after getting lots of comments on the way I do my eyes when I do a smokey eye look, I have figured out the for my eye shape a smokey eye looks best. Especially when I use colors that complement my blue-green eyes. Recently I was able to augment my brush collection with a set from LUXIE.

Here is a smokey plum eye look that I did with the Violet Voss Sakura Blossom Eyeshadow/Pressed Pigment Palette. I used the LUXiE Smokey Eye Rose Gold Brush Set to accomplish this beautiful but easy look. To accomplish the look I started with FENTY BEAUTY PRO FILT'R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in 120. Then I used the 213 Eye Shading Brush on my lids and up to the crease with Season. Then I took the same brush added Festival. I used the 205 Tapered Blending Brush to blend them together. Then I used the 205 Blending Brush to use Tokyo above Festival and added some shimmer and finished it off with Blossom above that in the highlight. On the lower lids I used the 215 Small Angled Brush to use a mix of Season and Festival lto line my lower lids. Finally, I finished the look with the 237 Pencil Brush in the inner corner of my eyes with Sakura to add a little bit of light. Then I added Ciaté Flicks Eyeliner and Anastasia Beverly HIlls Lash Brag Mascara. NARS Bumpy Ride Blush, Jeffree Star Wed Dream Supreme Frost and Lime Crime Diamond Crushers in Summer on lips.
I adore this brush set. The brushes are so easy to use and they brush/stipple shadow on the lids like a dream with very little fallout. Also, the brushes blend like a dream. LUXIE makes my favorite brushes and they are just not only beautiful but extremely functional as well. Plus the price point is exceptional. One does not have to pay an arm and leg for a decent, long lasting brush set. IF you take care of these they will last you forever. To clean your brushes, I would recommend a brush cleaner, such as LUXIE Quick Brush Wipes ($12.00) or a wash of baby shampoo and water mixed together but only clean the bristles. Do not put the ferrules and handles in the water as the glue will come loose and your brushes will crack and come undone. Clean your brushes once a week at least and they will last you a lifetime. Cleaning your brushes is very important to prevent bacteria from building up on the bristles and causing blemishes.
