Review: elf MINTMELT Whipped Face Mask #elf #MINTMELT #beauty #skincare #whippedfacemask
2.82 oz./80g $8.00
When I saw that Jeffree Star was going to review the elf MINTMELT collection, I hopped online and bought a few of the items right away. I knew that they would immediately sell out after his review came out and I was right. I purchased the two eyeshadow palettes, the primer and the mask, which I am going to review here.
elf has really upped their game. For an inexpensive line, it is packed with fun items that are a great value. Take for example this MINTMELT Whipped Face Mask. I adore this little treat. It is very moisturizing and cooling for the face. The mask contains kaolin, which absorbs oil. Glycerin helps to moisturize the skin because it is a humectant. The ingredient actually draws water deep into the skin into the layer of the dermis. Vitamin E is also very nourishing and moisturizing for the skin. Willow herb helps to soothe the skin. Then there is shea butter, which is also very nourishing and moisturizing.
Here is a photo of me wearing the mask:
MINTMELT Whipped Face Mask is bright green and very thick. To use apply an even layer to face and neck on clean, dry skin. Leave on for 10-15 minutes until dry. Then rinse with warm water. The mask leaves skin feeling soft, soothed and moisturized. It has a minty smell and is very refreshing on the skin. I would recommend it for dry, normal and combination skin types. This mask is free from phthalates, parabens, nonylphenol ethoxylates, triclosan, triclocarban, sulfates and hydroquinone. Although, most of these things would not be ingredients that would be used in a mask anyway. elf products are vegan and cruelty-free.
I hate the way I look without makeup and wearing a mask, but I am willing to do it just to show you how it looks. I found this mask to be surprisingly moisturizing and hydrating for a $8.00 mask. You get less than 3 oz. for $8.00 and that is a really good deal. I figure that is enough for about 3-4 masks. Not bad. I think anyone with dry, normal or combination skin would love this mask. I would not recommend it for sensitive skin because of the cooling sensation. There is a lot of fragrance in it and chemicals too, which those with sensitive skins might be allergic to. If you do have sensitive skin and want to try it out, do a patch test first.
