Essence Makeup is famous for its fun and inexpensive but quality cosmetics. I always try and get something from the brand that I cannot get here in the US, whenever I am in Greece. They happen to have a wonderful array of items that are fully pigmented and are at a great price point without sacrificing quality. I received a lot of their new items to try out recently and am pleased to report that I really liked everything I tried out, as usual. I especially love their eyeshadow palettes.

My favorite one is this one, Ciao Venezia Eyeshadow Palette. It really gives a nice look to my blue-green eyes. Today I will be reviewing this palette, which has 9 beautiful pigmented shades of brown, berry, coral and green eyeshadows. These shades are inspired by the romantic city of Venice and endless gondola rides. This palette captures the perfect balance of city life surrounded by water. Paraben-free and cruelty-free. To use: pick up color and apply to brush, use matte, neutral colors to sculpt and define the eyes. Use a wash of shimmery shades on the lids to make eyes pop.

Below are swatches of the shades:

Here are photos I did of looks with the shades:

I am a HUGE fan of this eyeshadow palette, mainly because the colors really compliment my blue-green eyes and red hair (I am not a natural redhead though, my natural hair is a dark blonde/light brown). I am lucky enough that my skin tone is neutral and I can wear cool and warm shades. These warm shades happen to be the ones that look better on me. Worn with a nude lip and you have the perfect look! The eyeshadows are greatly pigmented, not chalky at all and have little to no fallout. I love how easily they spread and honestly find them fairly creamy for such a price point. With these nine shades one can do a
multitude of looks for any occasion. It really is a versatile palette that is good for the office, a date or any say just a an outing. I paired this with essence makeup lash princess false lash mascara waterproof ($4.99), which gives me great volume and length without budging.

Essence Makeup Ciao Venezia Eyeshadow Palette retails for $9.99. It is available online at www.essencemakeup.com and ULTA Beauty.
