Keeping your skin hydrated yet not oily should be the name of the game during the spring and summer. And it is certainly a lot easier with a serum that is lightweight yet effective. Companies have been turning to one ingredient lately that seems to be very efficient at helping to hydrate the skin without adding any heaviness or oiliness. Great for all skin types, watermelon extract works well on the driest of skins to the oiliest.

One product I am particularly fond of is the TONY MOLY Watermelon Dew All Over Serum. This serum can be used all over the body to help provide your skin with deep hydration. Infused with Watermelon Extract, Aloe Vera Leaf Extract and Centella Asiatica Extract (commonly known as gotu kola), this serum is so lightweight yet extremely hydrating. It reduces inflammation, locks in moisture and strengthens the skin's natural moisture barrier. Watermelon Extract is rich in Vitamin C and Lycopene, which also works to brighten the skin. Aloe Vera Leaf Extract serves to soothe, hydrate and act as as a powerful anti-inflammatory on the skin. Centella Asiatica strengthens the skin's natural moisture barrier and works as an anti-inflammatory (as mentioned above). Meadowfoam Seed Oil creates a protective barrier on the skin to lock in moisture. This product contains 50% Watermelon Extract, which makes it work so well to hydrate the skin. The third ingredient is glycerin, of which I often mention is a great humectant and works well for any skin type. Glycerin attracts moisture to the skin and hydrates it. It also contains Sodium Hyaluronate, another humectant that attracts moisture to the skin.

After cleansing, gently apply an appropriate amount to the face and body until fully absorbed. Because this product is to lightweight it should absorb very quickly. For an extra cooling effect, keep serum in the refrigerator. You will like how this serum hydrates the skin.

I love using this serum during the warmer and hotter weather. My skin can only handle heavier products during the winter, and when the weather turns warmer I need to lighten up my skincare products. So, I turn to serums and lighter hydration tools. I especially like this product to hydrate my face without being particularly heavy. First, at night I use my retinol serum (which in the summer is Differin), then a hyaluronic acid serum such as Plum Plump by Glow Recipe) and a peptide serum, then this Watermelon Dew All Over Serum as the last step. During the day I use this then a sunscreen and a primer. That gives my face enough hydration to last the entire day without looking shiny. My skin turns more normal in spring and summer as the weather heats up. This product is perfect because it provides just the right amount of hydration without being heavy at all. TONY MOLY is a great K-Beauty brand that knows its way around skincare and has a wonderful selection of skincare products for all skin types and concerns. This serum is a white, light cream that finishes with a smooth, matte skin finish and leaves skin with a nice matte skin texture.
