VICHY Lifactiv Supreme H.A. Serum
1 fl.oz./30 mL $37.50
Serums are an important part of a well-rounded skincare regimen. I certainly like to have to multiple serums that perform a more than one function in my regimen. One that I recently tried out is VICHY Liftactiv Supreme H.A. Serum. This multifunctional serum is a powerhouse blend of 1.5% Pure Hyaluronic Acid, which is known to help plump skin for a visible filing effect. Also formulated with Vitamin C and VICHY Volcanic Water, it helps to protect skin from exposome aggression. Exposome means the measure of all exposures of an individual in a lifetime and how those exposures relate to health. This serum has been clinically tested for efficacy to deliver results of a decrease in 47% wrinkles and 60% fine lines in six weeks*! It has a feather light liquid texture that glides on easily and absorbs into skin instantly with a sheer finish. Skin is left looking plump and more youthful looking. The serum is fragrance-free, silicone-free, alcohol-free, and paragon-free. It is suitable for the face and eye area as it is a minimalist formula that only contains 13 ingredients.
To use: use as a serum. Turn product upside down to dispense the formula. Gently press the applicator to release the formula into a precise dosage. Apply 2-3 drops in the palm of the hand and spread the formula evenly onto clean skin morning and evening. Avoid getting product into the eyes. If product enters the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
All in all I really like this serum. Considering it is mainly a Hyaluronic Acid serum I am surprised at how much I like it. This serum does have an active dose of Vitamin C in it that helps to brighten skin and help with fine lines and wrinkles. You essentially get a one-two punch with this product. It immediately plumps up the skin with the Hyaluronic Acid and the in the long run the Vitamin C works to help even out the skin tone and fight the signs of aging. Immediately you should notice that skin is visibly plumped. After about 2 weeks, fine lines and wrinkles are visibly filled. After about 6 weeks you should notice a 47% decrease in wrinkles and a 60% in fine lines*.(*Results based on expert grading in a six week clinical test on 53 women.)
I used this serum for about 4 weeks. I definitely noticed immediate plumping of the skin with use of this product. But the only caveat is that I had to use more than 2-3 drops of it. And, I couldn't use the product as mentioned in the directions. It is almost impossible to use it as listed. The serum doesn't want to come out! It says to turn it over and press down on the bottle, but you are lucky if 1 drop comes out. I just took of the top and took out a few drops that way. After about 4 weeks of using this serum I definitely noticed that my skin looked smoother and brighter. The fine lines above my eyes that had steadily becoming worse have decreased and look better. Also, the skin on my forehead looks brighter and less mottled. I still have a little bit of a fine line starting to form in the furrow of my brow, but I am 50 after all.
Here is a photograph of my forehead prior to using the serum:
