Summer is here and I am sure your skin is in need of a lighter moisturizer, like mine is. During the hot, humid summer months my skin still craves moisture but it cannot handle the heavier moisturizers that I use in the winter. So I switch up my products for something lighter that provides the same amount of moisture without any heaviness or greasiness.
One that is a particular favorite of mine is by Peach and Lily. Their peach slices citrus-honey aqua glow hydrating moisture-glow is the perfect summer moisturizer. Made for combination to oily skin types, but great for normal skin too, this fast absorbing moisturizer-meets serum is as light as water and quickly hydrates and soothes all skin types. It contains annatto seed extract which is a more powerful antioxidant than Vitamin E. And, it also contains brightening grapefruit, orange, and lemon peel oils. Honey extract and hydrating ingredients such as glycerin and ceramides nourish and plump, giving skin a lit-from-within glow. Honey is also anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory, making this product perfect for skin that is prone to acne. Soybean oil is a lightweight moisturizer that helps to heal the skin. Finally, tocopherol (Vitamin E) is an antioxidant that helps to repair the skin, heal acne lesions, and moisturizes the skin. It is often included in many skincare products.
To use: apply a dime-size amount of moisturizer to your skin in light circular motions as the last step in your skincare routine. Layer under a thicker moisturizer for dryer skin types, if you feel the need to do so.
Citrus-Honey Aqua Glow Hydrating Moisture-Gel has quickly become one of my favorite summertime moisturizers. First, it is so lightweight. Second, the price is great. This product goes on nicely over serums and absorbs very quickly. It leaves skin feeling soft, yet nicely hydrated without feeling too heavy. During the winter my skin gets aggressively dry and yet tight in the summer, so I cannot handle any of those heavy moisturizers. The heat and humidity will not allow my skin to absorb any of them. I break out, my skin gets greasy and I feel uneasy. This product is absolutely perfect.
