The next Pixi Retinol product I would like to review today happens to be my favorite. I am partial to facial oils because they can do so much for your skin. Especially if skin is dry or tends to be on the dry side. Which is how my skin is lately, as I tend to get older. I have never really had a problem with oily skin, it was always normal in the spring and summer but now that I am 48, sebum production has all but stopped and my skin is drying out now. Does that mean that acne has gone away? No, not at all. I never really had acne either until I had kids. And my acne was always hormonal. So I am relieved now that I can wear facial oils and not really deal with acne too much and the oils just sink into my skin, making it feel soft, supple and oh so good.
Pixi Overnight Retinol Oil is an exquisite oil blend that helps to restore skin plumpness and improves that appearance of fine lines and pores. It also helps to smooth out skin and even out skin tone. The retinol in the oil smooths and refines skin. Peptides firm and revitalize skin. Ceramides provides time-release moisture. To use, just warm a few drops in the palm and fingers of your hands and gently press onto skin. Use after the Retinol Jasmine Cleanser and Retinol Jasmine Tonic, but before any moisturizer such as the Retinol Jasmine Lotion.
I really like this product because unlike many facial oils, this product contains not only several actives, but oils that I would normally use on my skin and purchase separately. It contains Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil and Cranberry Seed Oil. All of these together form a product with, in addition to the Jasmine Oil, Ceramides, Peptides and Retinol, help form a powerful nighttime product that really helps to slow down the aging process on skin or can help reverse some of it. All of the oils are great moisturizers and hydrators of the skin, leaving it feeling so soft, supple and renewed. In the morning skin feels like new.
Pixi Overnight Retinol Oil retails for $24.00 and can be purchased at www.pixibeauty.com, www.target.com and Target stores.
