In addition to the other Pixi Retinol products I have tried recently, I also tried the rest of the line and will be reviewing them on my blog. Today I will be reviewing the Pixi Retinol Jasmine Lotion. This company sure has come a long way in 20 years, and they are currently celebrating their 20th anniversary. Not only are their products targeted for the 20's somethings anymore but for people of every age. The retinol line shows this and I can tell just from using it that they have put a lot of thought into the line.
The Retinol Jasmine Lotion is a very lightweight moisturizer that deeply hydrates the skin and contains Vitamin A (retinol) to smooth and refine the skin, antioxidant-rich blackberry, moisturize locking ceramides and nourishing biotin to help ensure healthier looking skin for the long term. Jasmine oil is also included for nourishing and brightening of the skin. This lotion acts as an all around anti-aging moisturizer that helps skin look and feel younger.
I feel that this lotion is nice and lightweight but hydrates enough for all skin types, including mature and dry skins. In fact, I would highly recommend this for drier skins, as it has all the ingredients that drier skins need for looking and feeling better. I would use this lotion once or twice daily, as needed. However, it does not contain a sunscreen, so if you plan on using it during the daytime, keep in mind that you do need to use a sunscreen on top of it in order not to undo all of the anti-aging effects that this product is working on. It is important to use at least a SPF30 broad spectrum sunscreen. Daily.
This should be used after the Retinol Jasmine Cleanser & Retinol Jasmine Tonic. There is also a Retinol Eye Cream to use and at night a Overnight Retinol Oil for use. I have tried all of the products and would recommend all of them for every skin type, except the Overnight Retinol Oil, which I will discuss in another review.
The Pixi Retinol Jasmine Lotion retails for $24.00 and can be purchased at www.pixibeauty.com, www.target.com and Target stores.
