One of my favorite eyeshadow palettes EVER came out this holiday season. It is the HUDA BEAUTY Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette. Gorgeous with 18 beautiful, silky, creamy, pigmented eyeshadows in various styles of shimmers, mattes, glitters and metallics, this palette is the BOMB! I love everything about it. All of the beautiful colors, the way they interact with each other. It is definitely her best palette, in my opinion.
Just because there are only 18 colors does not mean it is inferior in any way, it is actually better because of the color choice. All of the colors go together and are winter shades that are pastel oriented except for of course the Vortex & Hot Mess shades, but they are in there to add contrast to the other shades. In this sort of palette one needs to have some darker shades for the crease and transition.
I am going to show you swatches from the website because they are one thousand times better than any swatches I can actually do for you.

Here are the other nine shades from the rest of the palette. They are also incredibly pigmented and have some extremely striking shades. Vortex isn't really completely black but more of a brownish-black, but in the pan it looks black.
I highly recommend you purchase this palette for all of your holiday & winter looks. It will go lovely with just about any nude, pink, pistachio, berry, light coral and purple lipstick.

In this photograph I am wearing: Hot Mess in the crease, Ultraviolet on upper lids, Nebula lining lower lids, Utopia under brow, Supernova on inner corner of eyes. On my lips I am wearing Velour Liquid Lipstick in Bronze Blood from Jeffree Star Cosmetics.
I absolutely adore this palette more than any other she has launched. Maybe it is because of the colors and how well they go with the season. Maybe it has to do with how I am tired of seeing the same old thing? I don't know. But this is a gorgeous palette that you could either get as a gift for yourself or for any beauty junkie in your life. I know she/he would appreciate it. Believe me, I would!
