Review: Deciem Hylamide C25 With 25% Ethyl Ascorbic Acid and Resorcinol Complex #VitaminC #Deciem #skincare #beauty #resorcinol
1 fl.oz./30mL $27.00
Using a stabilized form of Vitamin C in a serum is one way to help skin become radiant. Vitamin C is a strong antioxidant and brightening agent that helps to clear up mild to moderate skin discolorations, fight off free radicals, reduces fine lines, textural irregularities and makes skin look more radiant with consistent use. One serum in particular I like is Deciem Hylamide C25 with 25% Ethyl Ascorbic Acid and Resorcinol Complex.
This concentrated and stable 25% Ethylated Vitamin C Booster offers a fast-track approach to a beautifully radiant, healthy looking skin tone. It contains ethyl-ascorbate complex (25% pure ethyl-ascorbic acid) which is an extraordinarily-stable complex of ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) family that encourages an even smooth and glowing skin tone. It also includes pre solubilized resorcinol complex, which is a patented highly-efficient form of solubilized active resorcinol that offers evenly bright looking skin tone while also acting as a powerful antioxidant (while also having an outstanding safety profile).
Directions for use: apply twice a day as an adjunct serum to achieve radiance and visible evenness. Can be used as part of any skincare regiment before the application of moisturizers and makeup. Avoid contact with eyes. Use onl on unbroken skin. Patch test prior to use.
This serum is slightly thicker and slightly oilier than your average serum. It isn't necessarily sticky, just slightly oily. When applied one needs to wait a few minutes for it to sink into the skin before applying sunscreen and makeup over it. Once it sets in though, it helps make a nice base serum for sunscreen and a primer. Then when foundation is applied over it, skin looks dewy and beautiful. I would not recommend this serum for someone with combination or oily skin. If you have dry, mature or normal skin and are looking for something to help fade your hyperpigmentation and brighten some dullness, then this will work beautifully for you. If you read the reviews on the Deciem site, they pretty much say the same thing, just depends on what skin type you have. If you find if works better at night for you, just use it at night. However, Vitamin C works better when used during the day. Also, this serum cannot be used with EUK 134 0.1% and Vitamin C should not be used with Niacinamide.
I found that it did give a nice instant glow to the skin due to the type of serum it is. Over time, within about two weeks, I definitely noticed that my skin looked better and had an overall more even tone to it. Plus the fine lines that I had on my forehead have almost disappeared. I am working on those like crazy. There are just a couple of small fine ones above my right eye.
Here is a photograph of me after having used the Hylamide C25 Booster Serum:
My skin has a much more even tone now than when I began using it. Especially around the forehead where I have a lot of sun damage. It looks better there and the fine lines I have over my right eye are almost gone.
